All axes are made from the top cap of reclaimed railroad track from L.A. (Lower Alabama), which is a normal version of 1080 steel. They are extremely tough and durable and are forged from one piece. They are edge hardened with a softer shock absorbing body. Handles are made from locally sourced Pecan, Hickory, or White Oak – depending on who had what tree fall on their Toyota during the last storm. Edge guards are heavy 14 oz leather custom made in our shop and fitting individually to each axe. Custom belt sheaths are available for $75.00. We guarantee our work against defects in craftsmanship. NOTE: If you throw these axes at trees and/or kindergartners YOU WILL BREAK HANDLES. We use natural local woods and sometimes there can be a hidden defect. If you break a handle because of a hidden knot, we will absolutely replace it for you. We can fix anything but operator error!
